Tiny life-hack: Old mobile for smart-lamp switch

Anyone who has a family and purchased smart light bulbs knows the pain of physical switch vs app control. Either you have to take out your mobile to turn lights on for the kids or they use the switch killing any automation.

To get around this, I finally decided to get an old iPhone 4 out of the drawer, giving it a new purpose, to become the most advanced light-switch ever! :)

The solution is simple and works like a charm: A web interface calling the REST API of the lamp. Now my schedule for adjusting the color temperature of the lamps to the time of day works uninterrupted!
