Extending the battery life of the Arduino controlled NIFE lamp

Finally got a chance to update / rewrite the code for this lamp upcycling project. Previously the RFduino microcontroller would be continuously looping, which eventually drained the battery. Now I am going to test whether an infinite ultra low power delay, in this specific case RFduino_ULPDelay, is enough to save the day… and the battery.

Now you may be wondering why I even need a BLE capable microcontroller for what’s practically a flashlight, but let me reassure you, there are further enhancements in the pipeline. ;)

UPDATE 2 weeks later: The battery is still going strong. Previously it would have drained itself within a 2 days, so mission accomplished!
