I love you.

Nature desires equality.
It is defined by balance.
Heat moves to cold, as high pressure moves to fill low pressure.
That which exists out of balance will not last long.
We as humans like to think we are separate to this — that we defy nature, that we can live in inequality.
We see the poorest of people living side-by-side the riches of the world. This inequality. This divide can only be stopped with a barrier.
Much like your home keeps you from the cold, barriers must be put up to stop the forces of human nature from equalling itself.
So we build walls. We make guns. We lock others out.
Because only a barrier can stop the human soul from searching for equality, we are surrounded by them. As much as they protect us, they imprison us.
To deny our inherent equality as creatures of this Earth is deny our very own human nature.
To deny the rights of another is to deny our own heart. So the trapper becomes the trapped.
We all swirl and spin in our prisons looking for a way out, not realising that we built the walls ourselves. With every thought that runs through our mind, with each brick we lay, we each word that leaves our mouths we make a choice. A choice to build those walls up, bring those walls down.
It is this choice that we experience as fear and love.
It is fear that builds walls. And it is love that removes them. It is love that reaches out and says, ‘You do not need a wall. You do not need protection, from your fellow human being — your equal’
It is my belief that our thoughts, our words, and our actions come from these two places. Love or fear.
Seeing each for what it truly is is one of life’s great challenges.
And choosing love can be hard. But that wall is not a weight you were supposed to bear, and is a weight you can lift from your heart and open it.
As you walk your path today, as you pass a person, a creature, a soul, say in hushed tones: ‘I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.’
‘I love you.’
And lift the world.
