1. VPN

VPN — allows you to hide the user’s IP address. Easy to use, which is why it is very popular among network users. With enabled VPN, no one will be able to track where the traffic comes from.

2. Proxy server

A proxy server is essentially an intermediary between a local network and the global Internet. Using a proxy, you can hide the IP address, and thus gain access to content and resources prohibited from showing in a particular region. Both, paid and completely free, versions exist.

3. Tor

Tor browser is an unrestricted, completely free SOFTWARE, a system of proxy servers that allow you to establish a secure, completely anonymous connection with the network.

4. Message encryption

Messages encrypted in end-to-end type allow you to maintain the confidentiality of correspondence. To do this, it is enough to install special messengers with such function: Dust, Signal, Telegram.

5. Disable geolocation

In any browser, geolocation is enabled by default, so that the search engine can provide you with more personalized services. However, it is not that Google or Yandex are protected from hacking and third parties will not be able to get access to your location.

6. Email with mail encryption

If you use services like Yandex.Mail or Gmail, then anonymity is out of the question. Alternatively, you can use:

• ProtonMail — allows you to encrypt your account. You do not have to provide personal information for registration;

• Tutanota — encrypted email box.

7. The level of access of mobile applications

Literally, every application in your smartphone collects some data and immediately, after installation, asks for permission to get access to the geolocation, gallery, etc. In some cases, this is justified, but often applications abuse such permissions, and can be excessively intrusive. For example, you can be asked to provide access to your contacts — of course, it is not correct to share such information with whoever asks for it.

8. Cryptocurrency

Anonymity is a key characteristic of any cryptocurrency. Blockchain technology does not record names of senders, but the digital number of the wallet. That is, in order to make a transaction, users do not need to provide their personal data.
