My mom had a stroke part 14: Flowers.

My mom is back at the rehab facility. She’s in COVID quarantine again, with a room that overlooks the courtyard, the plants now dry beiges and browns.

At the hospital, it was one visitor at a time. Her first nurse in the ICU looked at me over my mom and said about my dad, “he knows what’s going on here, right?” and then proceeded to bring up that fateful EEG from months ago.
