A Swaggy P tweet poses the question

Last night Nick Young, former NBA legend, AKA Swaggy P, AKA that guy from that one GIF,

And from that other GIF,

made a bold statement on Twitter.

Young declared that LaMelo Ball is a top 10 point guard in the league already in his first season. There’s no denying the fact that the youngest Ball brother is balling out and has been increasingly fun to watch as the season has gone on, but is he top 10?

The idea is simple — make a donation and I’ll write something for you. In the end, we raised $215 for Red Cross Cascades. You can learn more about the fundraiser here.

This was a $5 donation from my good friend Ryan. This earned him a two-word writing prompt good for at least 300 words. He chose the words “Eminem” and “Oatmeal.” So I rhymed together a story about oatmeal.

This was a $15 donation which earns a music write-up of your choosing. The topic? Dr. Dre’s The Chronic.

If you’re a rap fan, it’s hard not to talk about Dr. Dre’s The Chronic in some fashion. Released in 1992, Dre’s solo debut cemented his place in hip-hop forever, if his work in N.W.A. hadn’t…

The submitted words for this prompt were: LeBron and Blazers.

Yes, it’s true. LeBron James put a beatdown on the Trail Blazers this year in the first round of the playoffs. …

The man with the mask dropped the guillotine and that was that. Student #732 was gone. I suppose that’s only fair considering he complained about today’s lunch rations, right?

It was day 421 at Stone — wait no, day 422. It was day 422 at Stonecraft Academy. The most impenetrable and inescapable prison in all…

Most of you are probably aware of the fires that are burning through Oregon right now. I live in Bend, and today is a particularly smokey day here as the winds have changed direction — but this also means that those fighting the fires might be able to make more progress in containing them.

So many families have been affected by this and it sucks to know there’s not a whole lot I can personally do to make things easier. …

SWEET KICKS SKIP

Obviously, this is something majority of sports fans know, but it was brought to the world’s attention today that he might be bigger of an asshole than we all previously thought.

Before today I thought that Skip Bayless was just a talking head who tried to stir the pot to get views, clicks and athletes in his Twitter mentions to boost up his fake persona. His analysis isn’t insightful, his takes are laughable and he’s not good at basketball.

Well, turns out Skip is just an actual awful person who shouldn’t have his job.

This morning on he and co-host…

Right now isn’t the time to be neutral. There is no neutral. If you’re quiet, you’re on the other side. I’ll say it’s been alarming, but unfortunately not surprising at just how many people from the Maquoketa area haven’t said a word on social media this week.

A small town in eastern Iowa, Maquoketa hasn’t built up voices for as long as I’ve known it. Growing up there you’d hope the place would grow with you, but that doesn’t always seem to be the case.

It’s a place where people were so pissed off about Colin Kaepernick kneeling during a…

‘Stay’ puts a spotlight on mental health & forces you to consider life outside the game

What would you do if someone’s life was in your hands? This is just one of the many questions that the developers at Appnormals Team force you to answer in their 2018 adventure game Stay. This game isn’t your typical adventure though. Far from it, actually. Rather than focusing on physical needs (health bar, stamina, weapons) your main concerns in the game are emotional. When you begin the game the opening sequence tells you two important things:

  1. That the star of this game is Quinn.
  2. And that the costar is you.

Those two credits alone are strong enough to set…

Both Kid Cudi and Juice WRLD’s debut albums, while released years apart, sit as an emotional stamp for the youth

Landmark years are just as introspective as they are unnerving. Looking back on the past too much can be unhealthy, but can also be inspiring. My five year high school reunion was just checked off the calendar, and well, it’s kind of weird. It seems just like yesterday I was driving my mom’s minivan to school and washing the chalked penises off of it after the weekend. This period in life for me is not only weird because I’m growing into my early adult life, but because my little brother just started his freshman year of high school last month…
