What Should you know about Ebola?

More then 6,500 people have contracted the Ebola virus, and more then 3,000 people have died.Where did the outbreak of Ebola begin? The outbreak began in West Africa. But mainly affecting Liberia with 1,830 deaths, than Guinea with 648 deaths, Sierra Leone with 605 deaths and Nigeria with 8 deaths. But what is the united states doing to help? President Obama announced on September 16th that he sent military and medical resources to help the outbreak.

What is Ebola? an infectious and generally fatal disease marked by fever and severe internal bleeding, spread through contact with infected body fluids by a filo virus, whose normal species is unknown.Should people be cautious about the virus? We are safe because we are more aware and we live in more sanitary conditions. West Africa doesn't have good conditions to be living in so the virus is more likely to spread. So why was the first Ebola case diagnosed in the United States last week, and do we have control of all the people whom this patient may have infected? The patient was Thomas Eric Duncan, hes a 42 year old Liberian citizen. Why did he come to the U.S.? to visit family and friends and it was his first trip to America.

I think that we need to be more cautious when letting people into our country, and monitor the people we send better. I feel that since the virus Ebola is out we should not let people in unless they are healthy and carry no virus, that way the Ebola virus won’t spread in the united states. We may live in sanitary conditions better then Africa but Ebola is a very deathly virus and there isn't a cure, we need to be more cautious about this.
