Road trips at least once a year, historical sites and cemeteries, authentic Greek, Italian, and Mexican foods, weekly picnics with new exotic fruits and cheeses, even the extreme jumps from Baptist to Mennonite and public to homeschool. All of these pieces of my childhood and teen years post adoption serve as the foundation for my thirst for knowledge, love of travel and history, appreciation and respect for other religious and cultural traditions and cuisine, and openness to new ideas and experiences.
