The Warrior In Me

I am Valkyrie;
Shield maiden.
Unafraid of death,
Or pain, I stand
With my sword and
Shield in hand.
Though I may
Falter, I will
 Not fall,
Or doubt my
The battlefield
Is home to me,
And blood familiar
It is in times of peace
I strain
To find my way,
My purpose;
I long for summertime’s
The wind whipping
In my hair
And seaspray’s burn.
Adventure calls,
And I must answer,
Though it means
I fight again.
