The famous Pastor Martin Niemöller wrote about the cowardice of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power. His words relate to what happened in World War 2, but arguably apply today. Pastor Niemöller said,

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out — 
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out — Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out — 
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.

If we don’t do something, the persecution caught on film below will continue and get worse.
