An innovation of IFC, Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE) is a voluntary certification system that proves the financial case for building green in emerging marketing. Designed to promote resource efficiency through design, EDGE certifications are now more accessible in the country with the appointment of the non-profit Philippine Green Building Initiative (PGBI) as IFC’s partner provider.

Italpinas was recognized for its pioneering EDGE-certified project, Primavera Residences in Cagayan de Oro City, a twin-tower mixed-used condo, with a design that delivers up to as much as 37% savings in energy, water and materials. The success of Primavera Residences is now featured in the global EDGE website.

“We are truly honored and humbled to receive this recognition”, said architect Romolo V. Nati, chairman and CEO of IDC.

“We are a design-driven developer of sustainable projects in emerging markets — our values are very much aligned with the EDGE program, which makes this recognition all the more meaningful,” he added.
