Italy in US

A few days before Christmas, Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli was welcomed back to Earth after a long tour on the International Space Station.

During his four-and-a-half months he posted some of the most amazing photos and images of Italy from space… And he became the first astronaut in space to make pizza aboard the International Space Station.

With the end of his latest tour on the International Space Station, Nespoli has spent so far a total of 313 days, 2 hours, and 36 minutes in space.

We can’t thank him enough for his photos and the amazing posts on social media.

To celebrate the upcoming new year, Italy, and the beauty of our country, and to thank Nespoli and all Italian astronauts, we decided to publish a mini collection of some of the most beautiful images of Italy from space, as logged by Nespoli and other astronauts in 2017.
