I think people forget to be okay.

People hurt so often, but how many actually heal?

Everyone talks about being depressed, nobody wants to talk about why? Granted you know what you are, but how did you get there? How can you unwrite your pain so it no longer stops you from growing? All you do is patch it up, but do you know darling, your hurt your pain, the things that cut you to your core need to be understood in order to heal.

“That’s the thing about pain. It demands to be felt”

John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

Dive. Dive so deep in the pain that tackles you that you get to know every inch of it better than you know yourself. Because pain begs you to feel it. And if you don’t? If you don’t feel it, and all you do is push it down, it will become volcanic.

ERUPT.

When volcanoes erupt, it does so due to a build up over time. Don’t let your emotions be built up to the point it erupts because like a volcano, it can damage the things, as well as the people around it. The environment it is in gets ruptured, and unlike a volcano, human beings get attacked and can be blamed for the pain they cause others. No amount of wounds make it reasonable for you to inflict pain on someone else.

What will you tell people? “Hey, I’m sorry for hurting you. I haven’t dealt with my own pain so I hurt others because of it.”

You really think that sounds acceptable?

Deal with your pain not so you do not hurt other but so you can heal, so you can be happy, so you can find some sort of peace in this crazy, hectic and troublesome world.

Forgive.

Not just others, but yourself as well. Let go of holding onto that pain or blaming others and yourselves for situations you had no control over. As for things, you had control over, regretting is understandable, however regret won’t change your past. Learn from your mistake and pain and move forward.

At the end of the day, just know, it is okay to not be okay, but make sure you figure out how to heal as well.
