Everyone keeps talking about it, but no one does anything

What will it take for real change to happen in this country? By now I’m guessing you’ve heard or read about the mass shooting that took place last night at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. 50 victims have been reported dead and another 53 injured as of the time I’m writing this story. Orlando residents are linining up to donate blood to victims at local blood banks, while at the same time, the same politicians that have over and over again blocked legislation that could bring about gun control in America, are tweeting about how they pray for the families of the LGBT community victims touched by this tragedy.

What will it take to bring real change about? Is this only a political issue, a cultural issue, or a humanity issue? You tell me. Right now I’m just holding on real tight to my children, and hoping no one out there one days feels they have the right to take their life away from them, just because they don’t agree with their way of thinking.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
