We’re Growing the It’s On Us Movement — But We Need Your Help!
My name is Samantha Skaller, and I served on the national It’s On Us Student Advisory Committee during the 2015–16 academic year at Syracuse University. I am a sexual assault survivor, and these negative experiences lead to me want to seek change in my community. It’s On Us gave me a platform to help other survivors at Syracuse.
The It’s On Us campaign empowered myself and other sexual assault survivors at Syracuse to stand together and speak out against this type of violence on our college campus. We can do more — but we need you.
Join me and others across the country to change the conversation in our campus communities — chip in $5 to help end campus sexual assault.

During my time on the Student Advisory Committee I had the privilege to help shift the way students, faculty, and staff think about sexual violence at Syracuse University. I helped host many It’s On Us events throughout the year. During the It’s On Us Week of Action, we brought together thousands of students for a campus-wide event. The event was incredibly moving — to see so many people from the Syracuse community together to pledge to end violence on our campus was a moment that I will never forget. Additionally, we hosted a screening of the Academy-Award nominated film, The Hunting Ground and we ended an incredible year of activism by collaborating with the ROTC community by setting up an art installation on the quad about the intersection between alcohol and consent.
All of these events brought awareness to sexual assault at Syracuse University and we plan to do even more — donate today to continue to build the platform to help survivors with It’s On Us.
This year, It’s On Us is growing their work with students across the country. Since the campaign launched two years ago, It’s On Us has hosted 1,400 events on 533 campuses in 49 states. But we’re just getting started!
With your help, we can reach even more students on even more campuses. It’s on all of us to be a part of the solution. I invite you to join me today and become a part of the movement by donating to It’s On Us — $5 makes a big difference for the movement and students like me working to create change on campuses.
