Australia is a beautiful country that has a lot to offer to its inhabitants. As a country with a stable political system, low crime rates and high standards, Australia is a great place to live in. However, every country has potential health hazards and Australia is not an exception.
We live in a modern age where we face threats such as smoking, alcohol and junk food. Shark attacks are rear, but always be prepared and try not to swim alone and cross the red flag when swimming. Crocodiles live in rivers and often change their habitat via sea. Pay attention on the safety signs and do not swim in rivers, tidal rivers and mangrove shores. Snakes are also present in tropical waters from November to April so avoid swimming then. If you are going hiking, use protective footwear, a hat, sunscreen and insect repellent and immediately seek medical help if you are bitten by a snake or a spider. There are many poisonous plants so you also have to worry about that. Don’t touch or eat something that you are not familiar with.

When camping, make sure that you completely extinguish the fire before you leave the campsite. There are risks of cyclones, earthquakes, flood and tsunamis. Every country has its hazards, some of them are bigger than the other, but there is always a solution for everything, you just have to be able to ask for help.
