Building Apps like You Mean It — Ensure that everyone can use your product, regardless of ability

In this remote session hosted on Thursday March 26 we had the pleasure of hosting Claudio Vera from Royal Caribbean.

Claudio is a certified accessibility professional with over 20 years’ experience in UX design and front-end development. In his current role as senior analyst and accessibility evangelist for a 65,000-person company he focuses on delivering digital experiences that include web, mobile, native, augmented reality, kiosks, and gaming to name a few.

The last time we had Claudio as a guest speaker we had to do a part II due to popular demand and this time was no exception. Lucky, our amazing team of volunteers and community members took the time to capture the session and insights for everyone who was not able to attend the live webcast.

Recap:

Takeaways
Thank you Jonathan Montalvo for putting this together :)

As User Experience and interaction Design disciplines continue to evolve at unprecedented speed (especially in light of recent events), we expect Accessibility to play a larger role as more and more companies are forced to embrace digital technologies to keep their doors open. This presents huge opportunity for UX professionals to re-tool for this new reality and create experiences that are both inclusive and relevant to the needs of those with disabilities.
