grass roots development. teach for america 2.o= tech for america. offer 1–2 year volunteer programs that embed tech employees in schools or community colleges across the nation. find a way to incentivize the employee for their service (or appeal to their altruism.)
tech claims to some degree that they recruit from diverse backgrounds. but regardless of where they come from, we homogenize everyone into a culture with some degree of entitlement (i’m not excluding myself here). it’s really time to break the cycle.
