Really interesting analysis here. I suspect the stark differences between the two countries also is related to the sense of community that each place possesses. Singapore is a very ‘vertical’ city, with gleaming sky scrapers in many places. While in Denmark, people literally live closer to the ground, which, grounds them! This almost forces more human interaction, which creates a deep sense of support and community. The government adds to this communal well-being with their various policies - including their tax structure.
