As I Graduate: Owen Wolf

“[The entrepreneurship minor] taught me to look at problems more so as opportunities that need fixing or redevelopment.”

While preparing to graduate, Owen Wolf took time with us to reflect on his time at John Carroll University, and particularly on his experience with the entrepreneurship minor.

“I wanted to be further molded in the idea of innovation and creativity,” Owen says. “I knew I liked business, but what really appealed was the less analytical approach entrepreneurship provides and the more open-minded mover and shaker mindset,” he continues.

Owen also shared that the professors he had during his handful of entrepreneurship courses really committed to his learning and his success; the professors challenged him to incorporate what he was learning in class into his everyday life, and supported his curiosity and exploration of what he wanted to do after college. Owen shared with great passion how much he enjoyed his classes.

Now approaching graduation, Owen is looking forward to his next few steps although he’s not 100% sure what is the best route to take.

“Absolutely do it,” says Owen to students considering minoring in entrepreneurship at JCU. “I believe the program is definitely heading in the right direction and that it is a great pair with any major.”
