The 40-Year-Old Vegan

This is a brilliant piece and I can totally empathise with so much of it. I am a 36 year old vegetarian, having made the change 18 months ago. So many of the things you said ring true, and your thoughts on how to deal with factors (such as the social side of things) are really great. The more I learn, the more I agree that the best way to make a positive change is simply to live your life in a positive way and not force it on others!

I wrote a far shorter and less eloquent version on huff post earlier this year giving the things I learned. www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/jon-young/becoming-vegetarian_b_8906954.html

I guess the only point I would slightly diverge on, is that I think it’s important to do as much research as you can. I know of people that have reversed their vegetarianism decision due to the social pressure of incorrect nutritional info.
