Whatever the result I hope our party can come together, to put forward a better plan for Britain; one that is progressive, modern and inclusive — for the many, not the few.
In this leadership election, I believed the best person for the job of the candidates who put themselves forward was Owen Smith, and I look forward to his shock win, as I believe will happen on Saturday afternoon. Though this contest hasn’t been without controversy, indeed Jeremy has only been leader for a year. But his total failure during the European referendum campaign warranted the challenge.
So, whoever wins on Saturday, I wish them well in their role and a Labour win in 2020. Though if Jeremy wins I look forward to next year’s leadership contest… (Well, he was once in support of annual leadership elections)
