Comic Review — Star Trek #1–6: Godshock
Review of the first six-issue arc in the new ongoing crossover Star Trek comic series. Written by Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, with art by Ramon Rosanas, Oleg Chudakov, Joe Eisma, Erik Ramayo, and Lee Loughridge.
This is the first story arc (the title taken from the omnibus edition), from a new Star Trek comic series which combines elements from multiple Star Trek series. Set in the 24th century, the series begins some time after the TV series Deep Space Nine and Voyager, and before the final The Next Generation movie, Nemesis.
To my great frustration the publisher has decided to title it simply Star Trek, which makes the series rather difficult to refer to individually among the rest of Trek. But that title is somewhat earned, as this series is all of Star Trek thrown into a blender to create a great big crossover spectacular of a series. This initial run builds most prominently on DS9 and TNG, but does include bits and pieces from a lot of other Treks.
