Me and Spike Lee: Still Doing The Right Thing

Spike Lee has to be one of the most chill celebrities I’ve met. Even decades after his iconic movie Do The Right Thing launched him into the mainstream consciousness and provided the big break for stars like Martin Lawrence and Rosie Perez, he still is just that dude from Brooklyn. Nevermind the countless accolades and shifting the national consciousness, he just a storyteller.

I had the pleasure to meet him and have a small chat following his talk at NYU Skirball Center to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Do The Right Thing’s release. Here’s wisdom…
