I agree with you that this is another contributing factor to me — and add that anytime in real life a casual conversation among people gets interrupted with numerous advertisements and salesmen shilling things, it’s suddenly an unpleasant place to hang out. Can you imagine what it’d be like to have social media platform ads a part of your real interactions with other people? It would be unbearable having to wade through the noise!

I’m more interested in living life than buying products, and for a social platform to appeal to me it has to share that priority.
