Great article! I do get the feeling of hopelessness when I think about where journalism is now and where it is heading. There is definitely a market out there for good journalism but, like many of us, I find the most insightful “journalism” is done by comedians nowadays. It hurts to see such horrible, soulless journalism out there, but I am eternally grateful for people like John Oliver, Samantha Bee, Jon Stewart and Trevor Noah (amongst others). They help keep me relatively sane.
