And justice (is not) for all!

This is an incredible read, very well written. It’s odd how often times the “justice system” slams defendants harder for crimes against property than those crimes which hurt people the most. It says a lot about what we value as a society as a whole.
Most crimes are committed out of desperation rather than malice — and most criminals are born into circumstances that practically guaranteed them a future behind bars. Looking forward to more of your insight on criminal justice and law. Way to bring an ordinary case to life, Diana!
