Now there you go proving my point. Most Trump supporters aren’t Nazis. I’m not discussing the alt-right here, who are aware that destroying empathy is essential to the division of the nation. I’m talking about my parents (maybe your parents) who voted for Trump and more and more support his policies because they are losing the faculty to empathize with those that disagree with him. You (as an anti-Trump) need to understand them before you can ever convince them to go against Trump’s more dangerous policies, and to avoid letting them sign onto worse things (the travel ban) just because they like his other policies (economic stuff, for example). Both sides need to understand each other in order to stop Trump from playing us like a fiddle.
