an indifferent morning — black
 beaks pick the spattered corpse
 of a boar the — flies

wings are mirrors
 that shudder against a bruised
 sky — a gasp

of light from an unwanted
 sun — a scream with moss green
 eyes — toes curled
 into dust and loam — talons
 into meat
