I’m not joking when I say that your frank discussion of this earlier this year made me really think about my own attitudes to food.
I’ve always eaten too much, sometimes as a comfort thing but often just because it’s there… as a kid I’d sneak down and eat cookies or cheese, anything I could skim without being noticed… it never bothered me until it started making me fat (though I was never healthy.) I quit smoking, all substances, just by stopping and I never looked back , but if someone leaves a tray of Costco cookies in the room I’ll be slurping them down before I’ve realised what I’m doing. Then I hate myself.
