So you’re thinking about getting a motorcycle? Use these 3 steps to sell the idea to your significant other/spouse/parent(s)/or yourself

If you’re reading this then you must have some interest in the idea of motorcycling. I get it. They can take you to new places, meet new people, and experience new things…freedom…two-wheel therapy.

As someone who’s ridden for over 25 years I genuinely look forward to every ride. Early morning departures for a short day trip, off-roading with my sons, or loaded up with gear for long road trips to new destinations — they’re always filled with anticipation and excitement. The idling of the bike, throwing your leg over the saddle, checking your mirrors, a little head roll to focus, squeezing the clutch, left foot into first gear, letting the clutch out while giving some throttle…you’re off on a new adventure.

But as sailors say, “the sea can be a cruel mistress.”

There are two kinds of riders: those that have gone down, and those that haven’t gone down…yet.
