Revelation 20:11 “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.”

Growing up in a big city you’ll see many things (too many to list), things which a child shouldn’t experience. I recall when we lived in Little Italy (Belmont) at the age of 6 years old, it was a small 2 bedroom apartment and at the time I was afraid to sleep alone. So I would sleep with my parents in their bed.

My uncle on my father’s side of the family was staying with us. One night as I slept I heard screaming and woke out of my sleep, I opened the door to the bedroom and as I rubbed my eyes I saw a huge puddle of blood and my uncle on the floor with his wrist slit. I’ll never forget that night, blood everywhere! As a child I had no idea what was going on I just knew it wasn’t good.

2 Bdrm Apartment

Another time I was heading to my grandma’s house from school she took care of my sister and I as my mom worked (single parent family). While on a bus I saw my friend’s sister sitting 3 seats in front of me. We stopped to pick up passengers and she saw a friend outside and stuck her head outside the window to say hi. A truck started to back up and the bus went forward, her head was caught in between the two and decapitated her. What happened next was very strange her head was dangling and she managed to come back in the bus, people screamed, and she said what’s wrong? She then saw her own blood and died. I was in sixth grade at the time.

I was not a witness to this a girl I know was dating a guy for some time and they decided they were going to get married, I believe he had already proposed to her and they choose to move into a new apartment together. Her son was helping the soon to be groom move furniture into their new apartment. They were moving a mattress and the groom was walking backwards towards the elevator, the doors opened but the elevator was not there he didn’t noticed and plunged 2 stories down the elevator shaft to his death.

I guess the point I’m trying to get across is we all will face death, everyone of us has an expiration date and we don’t know when our turn will be. By God’s grace being saved I was pondering if any of these people were saved did they have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour? I don’t know? I pray they were all saved.

Christians care for your soul we want others to be saved to know the peace and joy one receive when they are found in Jesus. And so the thought of eternity was on my mind and what will happen to those who are not saved? Well the Bible is very clear on the matter.

Revelation 20:12-15 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

My friend do you know Jesus, have you considered where you may be going after you pass unto eternity?! This may not be you’re typical article, but forget about the article think about the message. Maybe you’re wondering if you’re currently heading to the lake of fire and don’t know it. I can help you figure out if you are. If you don’t have an moment in your life when you were converted then you’re not saved. If someone was to ask me when I was saved I’m able to tell them a date and how exactly I was saved.

Here are a few questions answer them truthfully it will only benefit you to know, so be honest with yourself.

Have you ever spoken a lie? Have you ever stolen something regardless of it’s value (think pencil)? Have you ever took the Lord’s name in vain using His name as a curse word, that’s called blasphemy. Have you ever looked at someone and lusted over them?

If you’re honest with yourself you’ve probably said yes to one or more of these. These are a few of the Ten Commandments and if you’ve broken one them you’re guilty of breaking them all. Maybe you’re thinking ok but I’m a good person.

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

Think of it this way you’ve broken the law and you’re in court standing before the judge guilty. If you tell the judge I’ve also done good things in the past the judge will still have to pass judgement and uphold the law. He will still place you in jail for the crime.

God is a Holy and righteous judge who will not have any sin in His presence. And He’s not going to judge only the murderers, He’s going to clean house and judge all sin, everyone who’s lied, stolen, had sex outside of marriage, sodomites, drunkards, thieves, idolators, revilers, unforgiving people etc. They will all stand before the great white throne and be condemned! But not only them even atheist, Buddhist, Hindu’s, Muslims, unbelievers, agnostics etc. And it won’t matter if you believe this or not it will happen, just because you don’t believe something makes it untrue or go away. Therefore the wrath of God abides on you, looming over your head.

John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

At this point I’m hoping your asking yourself so what can I do to be saved? If so praise God you’re asking this because there is good news. God did something for you so that you can be saved and wouldn’t have to go to hell.

God the Father loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, who died on the cross as a sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins. He died on the cross and physically rose from the dead three days later. Defeating death and proving that His sacrifice was acceptable to the Father. Therefore, if you want to receive eternal life and what Jesus did to remove God’s wrath, then you must repent and receive Him (Jesus) and His sacrifice by faith.

Live for Jesus He loves you and wants to save you, I pray that you receive this message and feel free to reach out should you have any questions. Be blessed in the sweet and precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
