How Mark Zuckerberg fooled 82,999,346 people

This is the story about Upside Down marketing and lessons marketers, sales and customer service professionals should learn from it.

82,999,346 is a real number. This is how many people follows Mark Zuckerberg’s page on Facebook. Out of them there is plenty marketers that I know. And plenty of marketers that I probably don’t know. 
To all of those people who follow him and at the same time work in marketing I have one question:

1. Do you really think he will tell you what YOU WANT to know?

Or is it rather a case of him telling you what HE WANTS you to know?

What marketing, sales and customer service professionals should learn from this question.

If you are telling your audience, your prospects or your customers what YOU WANT them to know/hear — STOP!

When you start telling people what THEY WANT to hear you will start hitting the sweet spot and you may actually find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
