The Alt Right are neither Right Wing nor Conservative

A big misconception among the Media and Public today is the belief the Alt Right is supposedly the “Far Right”. Despite the fact Alt Righter’s support a Massive Welfare State and Single Payer Healthcare. The Antithesis of American Classical Liberalism, which is the basis of modern American Conservatism.

For Example this quote is from Mike Cernovich, a Prominent Alt Righter:

“I believe in some form of universal basic income. I’m pro-single-payer health care. Is that right-wing or is that left-wing anymore? Well, if you have a lot of people, a large swath of the company, or country, are suffering, then I think that we owe it to all Americans to do right by them and to help them out.”

Does that sound very Conservative to you? It actually sounds like something we’d hear from American Progressives.

Single-payer health care entails nationalizing all of the health insurance industry and having the government set prices for doctors’ services. American Conservatism is Libertarianism. And Libertarianism is Limited Government. Like Ronald Reagan said:

“If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals — if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.”

The “Alternative Right” would despise Reagan if he were in office today. The Alternative Right are European Conservatives with the lies of the Tories and Gaullists. American Conservatives have since the Progressive Era opposed Centralized Government, a Welfare State and a Bureaucratic Federal run Single Payer system.

Those in the Alt Right have more in common with Progressives then they do with American Conservatives. While Progressives feed into Working Class Identity Politics for all Americans and in Particular Minorities, The Alternative Right feeds into working class Politics. The Alternative Right feels the best thing for White Americans would be a massive Welfare State with Social Benefits comparable to that of Scandinavia. However the true model for The Alternative Right would be Nazi Germany as they believe in the Concept of “National Socialism”. An Ethno-Nationalistic version of Social Democracy.

The Alternative Right has a disdain for Economic Freedom and openly advocate for Anti Market and Anti Trade policies. Economic Freedom has been one of the key components of American Conservatism ever since the New Deal in 1933. The Alternative Right are trying to make a United States in which the government is more centralized and Free Market economics rejected. This is mainly because they believe Free Market Economics harm the White Working Class, thus forth they believe in Guaranteed Jobs, which is an Anti Market Position.

This can clearly be seen on things such as trade an Immigration. Libertarian Conservatives believe their should be minimal government restriction on Travel and all Conservatives aside from Paleoconservatives advocate for Free Trade. However the Alternative Right hold an Economic Nationalist view which is in favor of Protectionism and little to no Immigration, outside of Western Nations. A Welfare State.

Where does Trump fit into all of this? Well Trump in the past has supported Single Payer Healthcare, High Progressive Taxation and also things like the Minimum Wage. He joined the Republicans in 2012, after having been a Democrat. Of course, that was after he ran for President in 2000 as a Reform Party candidate.

In fact Trump’s platform sounds almost identical to that of Teddy Roosevelt’s just over a Century ago.You can read Teddy’s proposals here.

In fact the proposals made by The Alternative Right don’t seem to out of touch with the Progressive Narrative of an America in which the Working Class Struggles and the top 1% (Jews) get richer and richer. Cernovich said :

“we owe it to all Americans to do right by them, and to help them out.”

This sounds completely the opposite of what Reagan said in his famous Inaugral

“In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem, government IS the problem. It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant, it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.”

While American Conservatives/Libertarians advocate for more Economic Freedom and American Principles such as Limited Government, The Alternative Right and American Progressives advocate for Washington as a solution to our problems. Harming our nations Economic Liberty.

Trump and the Alternative Right proposed to turn the Republican Party into a Workers Party. While Traditionally the Republican Party emphasized Economic Freedom, Individual Liberty, Decentralization and Lower Taxes, this was seen as not representing the White Working Class to The Alternative Right. But instead to “Big Business” “Corporations” “The Top 1%”. See where im getting at here?

Bannon at CPAC said Republicans would be the Party of “Economic Nationalism”. He said

We’re going to see that Americans have jobs, medical care and an enviable safety net

This holds a very different view to the governments role as compared to that of American Conservatives and the Founding Fathers. Bannon believes the Government should provide goods to Americans, like such in Scandinavian countries. American Conservatives believe Americans should have the ability to pursue happiness. In accordance with our core beliefs in the Declaration of Independence. Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

The Alternative Right holds the Belief that Healthcare is a “right” like the right in most developed countries do. American Conservatives don’t see it this way. To American Conservatives the only rights granted to citizens of the United States are Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.

The only right belonging to healthcare is access to healthcare which every American has. Anyone can go to the doctor and pay their bill. However, the argument we are having is whether anyone has a right for others to pay for another’s health care INSURANCE. Does anyone have to pay for my car insurance besides me? Nope. Must I have car insurance NOPE in CA it is a requirement if I want to drive that car on the public high ways; but if I have a car and operate it only on my private property, I accept full liability for myself and my property if I don’t have insurance.

The Alternative Right actually agree with Sanders on many things economically and even want many on the non PC Sanders Wing of the Left to join the movement. If Sanders were a Republican and ran on a platform of Economics alone, they would have supported him over someone like Marco Rubio who believed in American Principles such as Limited Government and Economic Freedom.

Image result for Nazi Europe

The Alternative Right are really the European Right or in Americas case, Americas Right to Center Left. The Right in Europe before World War 2 referred to themselves as “National Socialists” in opposition to the supposed Jewish Dominated Capitalist systems. Which had destroyed Europe from within.

For example in France. Marine Le Pen is often called a “Far Right Candidate” despite the fact she calls for:

  • says that profitability and free competition are “mortal enemies of public interest”
  • supports government investment into the development of nuclear fusion
  • supports nationalising public utilities
  • supports a temporary nationalisation of the banking sector
  • supports the Keynesian-motivated Havana charter, which would introduce a world currency
  • supports phasing out nuclear power
  • opposes Europe’s deregulation of the energy sector, and supports introducing price controls on petrol and electricity
  • believes in the “food miles” myth, i.e. that foreign trade of food is an environmental disaster
  • supports legislatively separating investment and commercial banking, like in the Glass-Steagall act
  • supported Syriza in the Greek 2015 general elections
  • opposes privatising the French post office
  • opposes privatisation of the French Social Security system
  • complains about the demolition of public utilities and “social equity” due to free trade
  • considers the left-wing European Union to be a “neoliberal” organisation
  • argues in favour of a “strong, protective and strategist state”
  • said the European Union’s CAP exposes French farmers to savage global competition and speculators
  • argued for spending 15 billion Euro more on agriculture
  • Supports preserving all state-run public transportation systems

These are not cherry-picked examples — the only policies she endorses that could be considered as right-wing at all, are her Euroskepticism, some small reductions in a few random taxes, and her opposition to immigration. Marine Le Pen is not a far-right candidate, and unlike Trump, she has no redeeming qualities.

What you’re witnessing in France is not a rise of the the far-right — what you’re witnessing is the breakdown of the unholy alliance of authoritarian political ideologies known as the left. The left is disintegrating, and the left-wing establishment masks this by claiming the factions forming are actually far-right.

It’s the Nazis and the Bolsheviks all over again the factions that make the left are united only by their disdain for freedom and their opposition to market outcomes based on individual choice. They are not united by the decisions they would prefer to see in place of those that individuals make when allowed to freely operate.

The Labour movement, feminism, environmentalism, minority activism, middle-class welfare, Keynesianism, pro-art activism — dozens of factions make up the left, and they all want resources allocated towards their own interest groups. Left-wing politics survives on fooling these groups into believing that believing in all these together can be ideologically consistent, or that the legislation supported by one faction does not infringe on the other factions.

Le Pen wants to expand Welfare Programs for for the Native White Working class against the “Economic Migrants” coming from Syria and elsewhere.

Conclusion:

The Alternative Right are not Right Wing by American standards. The Alt Right would be best described as a European Conservative movement which supports concepts such as Toryism and Gaullism. The best term for the Alt Right would be “National Socialists” or since they hate the “Socialist” Label. “National Social Democrats”.
