In Defense of the Digital Album

I try to balance out my media consumption. I love my magazine prints of The New Yorker just as much as digital. Same with music. Spotify to me is awesome for car rides, quick playlists and overall access. But nothing makes me happier than seeing a stacked vinyl collection. I guess the issue is if fully digital media makes people expect more quality but ironically get less. I think that’s the issue. It’s like a over-saturation effect. Maybe there’s too much mediocrity, too much expectations of free-art, and that in turn leads to a good thing of more artists but also a bad thing of maybe more struggling artists. Great piece!
