What is it? LORAC’s Unzipped Gold Palette ($42)
4 Mattes, 6 Shimmers. Matte Shades: Undressed, Unwind, Undeniable, Unedited. Shimmer Shades: Unhibited, Unpredictable, Unafraid, Unleashed, Unlimited, Unlocked. All gorgeous. All highly pigmented. So an eyeshadow gals dream come true though the dark matte’s have a lot of fall out and are a bit patchy.
The dupe? Makeup Revolution’s Gold Bar Eyeshadow Palette ($15)
SAVE $27! The MR Gold Bar Palette doesnt’t have the cool individual names of the LORAC team but it does have 4 extra shades to add to the arsenal. Plus, the packaging is pretty amazing and was the cause of many oohs and ahhs in the JUNO HQ.
The compromise?
For the savings, you’re definitely cutting back on quite a bit of pigment. What took for one swatch of the Unzipped Gold took about 4 swatches from the Golden Bar. On the brightside, you’re getting 6 more shades that aren’t shimmer. Worth the savings if you are going to use this for less dramatic looks and more so for everday. For full-makeup, dramatic eye looks, we recommend that you splurge and grab the LORAC.
