Hey Masha, that’s a common misconception. You’re right that single occupancy vehicle use can’t scale any further as a transit system, but that’s only a problem in a world where we don’t allow housing near employers.

High density/mixed use development makes walking, biking, mass transit, and TNCs far more economical. So allowing that kind of development next to major employers on the Peninsula (and elsewhere in the region) would both take pressure off our transportation systems and help temper some of the high cost of housing.
