No, we should not just look at cases individually. Doing so ignores the hard realities of systemic racism which is what this article is pointing to. It is not race baiting to tell the truth and to invite people to think more deeply about how we treat and hold one another in this country regardless of race, religion, orientation or whatever differences divide us. The more our differences unite us, the stronger we will be as a nation and as a human race.
