Alabama Getting Closer to State-Run Lottery

Republican lawmakers propose a bill tomorrow that seeks state-wide vote to establish first lottery.

The Economic Development and Tourism Community Meet in the Alabama House of Representatives

Republican lawmakers have created a proposal which will potentially bring a state-wide vote on whether or not Alabama will establish its first lottery games. The public hearing tomorrow, will be held in front of Alabama’s Economic Development and Tourism Community at 1pm ET.

Alabama remains one of only six states that don’t currently have their own state-run lottery games. We’re hoping that if the lottery is approved in Alabama, the bill will also influence other lotto-less states like its neighbor, Mississippi, to do the same!
