It makes educators, who lack proper acquaintance with AI and fear for their jobs, biased against us.

Before there were television and radio, then came the use of videos, films, etc with VHS then DVD readers, then computers not to speak of tablets and smart phones, and now AI.

The teaching profession is defined as those who transmit knowledge.

All these inventions and media were challenging them as sources of knowledge.

But AI goes beyond it makes the learner the direct actor of the search for knowledge and AI (alas in a way) predigests that search and the knowledge that is found. The teacher then is an adviser on the way to search for knowledge and the questioner of the processing embedded by AI in what is found.

These two roles are contradictory to the tradition and the self-image teachers have of themselves as the deus ex machina bringing knowledge out of nowhere.

But that is not a stalemate. Old fashioned teachers are just obsolete and students or learners will get the knowledge they want and process it all by themselves.

Students can bypass obsolete teachers.
