We don’t have anything with the intent of a slug at this point.
A Top Roboticist Says A.I. Will Not Conquer Humanity
Brian Bergstein

The intent of a slug in my lettuces in the garden in the summer is quite clear and very effective, in fact destructive. If all AI started just munching on us, we would not exactly like it. And they probably could munch on our own brain, on our own ideas, on our own thinking. A full can of worms in our abstract conceptualization and we might not be able to think much. Look how the simple idea that foreigners are invading us can disturb the normal thinking and political system of GB (Brexit), Germany, Italy, Hungary,… shall I go on? Look how the AI of Facebook has trapped the US in a dead-end, an impasse, a blind alley and Trump sure is blind, but Twitter’s AI is quite effective. You are not looking at the proper thing. AIs will be very effective on our “mental” life, on our “minds.” And then our minds will manage our bodies. And that will too late.
