Her name was Teresa Halbach: What Netflix Missed with “Making a Murderer”
Diana Alvear

Never once did the documentary series downplay the tragic death of Teresa or do anything other than portray her family in an empathetic light. However, your statements about what have been taken from her apply just as validly to both Steven and especially poor Brenden. When I think of that poor young disabled boy, Brenden, and how he was completely abused and manipulated by the system for their own agenda, and how his life was taken from him in any meaningful way I am just as sickened as when thinking of the life taken from Teresa. Brenden will never fall in love, get engaged, get married. He’ll never have a family of his own. He’ll never get to pursue his passions. His dreams and his future died with his conviction. All his family have left are memories and the deep love they shared. There are three victims in this case. Their names were Teresa Halbach, Steven Avery, and Brenden Dassey. They all deserve better than this.
