Well you see, for Catholics it’s *not* just a metaphor. We do have people who literally stop watching television and lock themselves in a room… and it’s not the opposite of Catholic mission, it’s one way of living it out. One of them, St. Therese of Liseux lived and died locked in a convent and yet is the patron saint of missions. That’s why it’s odd, because you say that one “can’t” live this way and the Church says that you can.
