Hi Gabrielle,

It’s obvious that one of the main reasons you were banned was because you are right of centre, Islam critical, and were popular and worse for them, your followers were growing rapidly. Every single one of their top writers that I’ve come across is liberal-left, often Tim Farron types, and will block if they start losing the argument.

I never refer to “Islamic terrorism” but “Islamist terrorism”, and somehow the rather ridiculous deluded group-think echo-chamber believe that just about makes it acceptable; usually.

Tatiana is likely just a symptom of a greater malaise in Quora, as such attitudes come from the top, and she was selected and recruited by them and has been further indoctrinated.

Anyone who quotes Qasim Rashid, and worse, one of his tweets, to make an argument, has to have limited debating skills. I highlighted in one of his articles in the Independent that it had a link to a Ahmadiyya “Life of Muhammad”, the most contentious chapters of which (like the slaughter of the Banu Qurayza Jews) bear little resemblance to The Sira, and clearly had a deeply Islam apologist agenda — an Islam white wash agenda.

Rashid constructed a straw man based on “a bigot challenged me to show him the Christian terror attacks”.

Anyone who starts a sentence “a bigot challenged me…” is someone with a lot of hate and prejudice in his heart. I doubt this “bigot” actually exists and it was just the construction of a straw man by Rashid. If he does exist, asking such a question is hardly bigoted.

Of course, few intelligent rational people would claim there are no Christian terrorist attacks. They would more likely ask to “show how many deaths from terrorist attacks in the modern era that can clearly shown to be motivated by Christian beliefs” in order to compare them with the equivalent for those attacks motivated by Islamic beliefs.

But either way, that is not an argument against using the term “Islamic terrorism” or even “Muslim terrorism”, just as we use the term “Christian Crusades”.

Rashid quotes the Lord’s Resistance Army. This answer on Quora shows that claim is likely false, at least arguable.

One gets the impression Tatiana is not the sharpest tool in Quora’s toolbox.
