I often struggle with balancing the benefits of open discussion with the detriments. As a game designer, often times people in non-design related roles offering opinions can result in a great new perspective. However, many times I have attempted to hold open discussion, only to find it detrimental to productivity and focus.

I’m developing my ability to determine when it is appropriate to keep a discussion open or private, but I often worry I’ve missed a valuable opportunity to make someone feel included!
