Have you ever experienced the quieting of your mind while lost amidst a sea of people at a Korean fish market? One of the most important lessons that I learned from my year in Busan (South Korea) was to take time for myself. We are very smart creatures, we have brains that are able to process all of our surroundings. Most of us live in a fast paced, technological world, that is full of distractions. We often do not find the time for reflection and personal growth. We become caught in the moment and easily lose track of our path. I learned an important lesson while living in a distant country and unable to speak the language. I became aware of the importance of mind control & critical self-reflection. I discovered the value of checking in with my mental and physical self, reflecting on experiences had, and keeping in-tune with the direction of my path.
