Driverless cars will upend urban planning and energy
They will redensify our cities and push us away from fossil fuels faster.Work on driverless cars has been making some stunning headway. Google has demonstrated a prototype without a steering wheel. Several states have put in place a regulatory regime to accommodate them. And they’ve so far driven hundreds of thousands of miles with minimal accidents.
