This is probably the most condescending thing I have ever read, and a powerful stand-alone argument for the Liberal Arts’s ongoing relevance. Maybe if you’d viewed Jane Austen’s works with a little more seriousness and gravity, you’d have anticipated the irony of making a case for a more practical education without citing a single legitimate source of data!
