I feel like the last statement is missing the point entirely — the administration wasn’t trying to enforce their conduct guidelines regards underage drinking and consensual premarital sex. Instead, it appears that different parts of the infrastructure of Baylor University (e.g. the athletic department, the campus police, and the administration) were trying to actively prevent the report, investigation, and public awareness of rape on their campus, including instances perpetrated by athletes.

If the SMU football program can be given death penalty for covering up payments to their football players, then it’s pretty obvious that Baylor’s offenses, which in my opinion are catastrophically worse in comparison, should warrant the same.
