“ The Ti studs cast into .223 boat tail rounds are made by modestly sophisticated means either by individuals or else are runs produced illegally by otherwise legal manufacturers.”
They aren’t made at all. Nobody makes them. You might have confused Tungsten, which is a very hard and dense metal used in some armor piercing bullets but nobody uses titanium.
“You are playing definition games as to the green tip rounds. The range website and the range safety officer(s) call them armor piercing. You admit the round is produced and you damn well know that a magnet will pick up any of those rounds no matter the color.”
No, I have the technical drawings on the bullets so I know exactly how they are made and I have a whole big ammo can full of them. Just because a magnet picks them up doesn’t mean they are armor piercing no matter what your RSO’s think. AP ammo has a specific definition according to the ATF and the military and nothing you or your rather ignorant RSO’s say will change that definition.
“ Get back to responding to the core of my argument: the .223 is a shitty round for pot hunters and an excellent round for killing humans. You damn well know that Hollow Point .223 rounds are totally impermissible for use by any state’s military (and, by “state” I am using the legal term of art for a sovereign nation) that is a signatory to the Geneva Accords. HP rounds exist to make the .223 a round that can be used for pot hunters.”
Your core argument if full of shit. .223/5.56 NATO is an excellent round for an intermediate power cartridge. Hollow point .223 rounds would be banned by the Hague Convention of 1899. Once again, you have no idea what you are talking about. http://avalon.law.yale.edu/19th_century/dec99-03.asp
“ If you persist in denying that fact, I will put together a nice little set of links to each state wildlife code that mandates HP .223 for deer. I know of at least ten states that had the reg as of a decade ago when I last had reason to do the research. It’s trivial to do today. Save us both the time and electrons and concede that point, too.”
I never even mentioned that point, you are hallucinating.
“ The end result is you can continue to deny Ti core .223 because you haven’t seen one, but the magnetic .223 round and the .223 HP for pot hunters are undeniably factual.”
I can deny it because I have the actual understanding and resources you lack.
“ Now, how about some reality-based discussion of the rest of the issues?”
You are literally too uneducated on this topic for me to bother with you that much.
